Marty Wuttke

Spiritual Director of CSA and direct Disciple of Roy Eugene Davis

Early Years in NYC

Albert Martin (Marty) Wuttke was born in 1957 on Long Island, New York, and enjoyed spending the summers with his four older sisters at the beach. From an early age, Marty Wuttke was spiritually inclined and studied a variety of truth traditions.

Mr. Wuttke moved to Atlanta, GA, to attend chiropractic school in the early 1980s. After attending one of Roy Eugene Davis’s public talks, Mr. Davis tapped Marty on the shoulder and invited him to visit Mr. Davis at CSA in Lakemont, GA. Shortly after, Marty moved to Lakemont to live and work at CSA.

With Roy Eugene Davis

For the next few years, Marty studied intensively under Roy Eugene Davis’s personal guidance. He progressed quickly on the path to enlightenment. He was often awakened by the headlights of Mr. Davis’s car around 2:30 am, and immediately began his spiritual practices, meditating at the CSA hall.

During the day, Mr. Wuttke helped build and maintain the CSA grounds, including constructing the Gazebo on the property (see picture); as well as assisting Mr. Davis in every way he could. On long rides to and from the Atlanta airport, Mr. Davis shared many experiences with Marty Wuttke – about spiritual growth, authenticity, and stories about Paramahansa Yogananda and other saintly yogis.

Mission Neurofeedback

In the 1970s, news spread about Yogis who could voluntarily regulate bodily functions such as skin temperature and heart rate, and even alter their brain wave patterns at will. Emerging EEG technologies enabled researchers to measure mental states and develop software to objectively train consciousness states. This “Neurofeedback” training caught Mr. Davis’s as well as Mr. Wuttke’s attention.

Beginning as a deeply committed meditation teacher, Marty Wuttke recognized the value of adding a scientifically based, neurophysiological component to catalyze meditation training and help meditators to improve their meditation practice and to experience a freer and happier life.

Supporting Seekers

As a pioneer in the field of bio- and neurofeedback, Marty developed his unique and holistic approach to Neurotherapy based on over 40 years of experience in the field.

From 1983 to 1995, he was affiliated with Ridgecrest Hospital and Woodridge Psychiatric Hospital, where he designed and directed the first large scale inpatient neurofeedback program in the United States. Marty is a pioneer in combining multiple neurofeedback protocols as a self-regulation tool for people suffering from a wide array of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, PTSD, OCD, depression, traumatic brain injury, eating disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, chemical dependency, and alcoholism. For the spiritual seeker, neurofeedback offers an additional dimension: it helps identify and release the brain circuitry that is at the root of challenges that may interfere with deep consciousness states. This enables the person to deepen meditation and resolve any behavioral challenges and past conditioning.

Teaching for CSA

Mr. Wuttke continued to provide Truth teachings as a CSA Minister even after he moved to the West Coast, Santa Barbara, CA.

In his holistic approach, he emphasizes not only meditation but also complementary practices to support personal and spiritual growth. Among them are Hatha Yoga and Qigong, as well as counseling, acupuncture, and, most importantly, Neurofeedback training.

Mr. Wuttke has taught Kriya Yoga, Meditation, Neurofeedback, and Qigong in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Ukraine, Thailand, and Mexico. In Santa Barbara, CA, , he continues the ministry work and offers instruction through his Kriya Yoga Center Santa Barbara.

Continuing Mr. Davis's Mission

In 2024, Mr. Wuttke was nominated to be the President of the CSA Board after previously serving as a Board Member. As he became increasingly involved in leading the organization, Marty Wuttke accepted the position of Spiritual Director of CSA in 2025.
Marty Wuttke continues Mr. Davis’s mission and purpose – to support the evolutionary process of spiritual enlightenment by sharing the Kriya Yoga teachings worldwide, and to expand the ministry by supporting and training new ministers.
