Joan’s mission is to help us discover our spiritual essence and make mindful life choices. She has over 25 years of yoga practice, including Kriya Yoga since meeting her teacher Roy Eugene Davis in 2005. As a yoga therapist and movement coach, her specialties are posture, alignment, and balance.

Combined with a profound meditative experience, this week is sure to have a life altering effect.

All experience and ability levels are welcome. No previous yoga or meditation experience required.If staying off-property, please contact the office at (706) 782.4723 to let us know you will attend day sessions.

What is Kriya Initiation?

Retreat participants are invited to learn meditation techniques unique to the Kriya Yoga tradition and make a personal commitment to spiritual practice. If you are interested in Kriya initiation, please see How to Prepare section below.

About Joan and CSA

Joan’s mission is to help us discover our spiritual essence and make mindful life choices. She has over 25 years of yoga practice, including Kriya yoga since meeting her teacher Roy Eugene Davis in 2005. As a yoga therapist and movement coach, her specialties are posture, alignment, and balance.

Professional Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Center for Spiritual Awareness Ordained Minister
  • Certified Yoga Therapist, International Association of Yoga Therapists
  • Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor (200 & 500-hour levels)
  • Fellow of Applied Functional Science and Functional Manual Reaction, Gray Institute
  • Yoga for Scoliosis Trainer certified by Elise Browning Miller of Yoga for Scoliosis
