Spiritual teacher Roy Eugene Davies is one of only few direct disciples of Paramahamsa Yoganandaji who is still with us, in dedicated service to the cause of Kriya Yoga. Born in 1931, he was initiated by Yoganandaji when he was only 18 years old, and has now been teaching Kriya Yoga for more than 60 years. The current Guru of Kriya Yoga International, Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji loves him and invites him often to his programs. In this video Prajnananandaji welcomes Roy Eugene Davis to the ashram of his Guru in Homestead, Florida, to talk to the devotees who have gathered there to celebrate the birth centenary of Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji. You can sense the mutual respect and admiration of the teachers when Roy Eugene Davies say "We are all spiritual family in the same Kriya tradition and I think it is good that we acknowledge that and we have the opportunity to share from time to time on a personal level in this manner." He shares some very memorable incidents and experiences from his time with Yoganandaji, especially focusing on the power that flows through the Kriya Yoga Guru lineage. Talking of that power he says "It can be transmitted at the time of initiation [to the seeker]. That makes the difference between just having a teacher who provides information and on the other hand being connected spiritually and mentally with a lineage of gurus through whom this power flows.". These experiences and the insights shared in this video are bound to inspire all sincere spiritual seekers. The video was recorded in the year 2006.
