Begin your meditation practice by sitting in a relaxed, upright posture with your head erect. Meditation is a conscious, intentional practice. Let your breathing flow naturally. With your eyes closed, look into the space between your eyebrows, without straining to do so. Be aware of the spinal pathway and higher brain. Bring your attention into the spinal pathway and upward to the spiritual eye center between your eyebrows. Doing this begins the internalizing process.
Open yourself to the infinite, feel your ego boundaries dissolving. Be happy. Feel thankful for the gift of life and for the opportunity to expand your consciousness. If you want to pray to God, now is the time to do so, to invoke an awareness of God’s presence. However God is real to you—or however you think of yourself in relationship to God—open your heart, your Being, to God. There is no need to rush the process. It may be that you will immediately begin to flow into meditation. If this happens, go along with it, letting your innate intelligence direct the process.
Speak this positive affirmation:
As I enter into my meditation practice I release all feelings of separate, limited existence, opening my mind and Being to the infinite.
Have a good day . . . and a great life!
